Well, lucky me! The new year begins tomorrow and mine will start off with a snotty nosed, sore throat-ed little boy needing lots of extra attention. It's just as well, I hadn't completely decided on whether or not I wanted to do anything ellaborate to mark the occassion anyway. Since relocating to Louisiana with my husband several years ago, New Year's Eve had typically been an event we spent only with one another. Now that we are in Mississippi we have a few new options for the occassion. Unfortunately, most of them don't allow for us to spend it together. Although we have made many new friends we still have zero family members to lean on. Alas, my dilema. As much as I'd like to venture out with new faces and delve into some "adult" fun, I do not want to do it without the partner I have spent this time with for the last 10 years. So! Odds are we will be spending this New Year's Eve much like our past 10...with each other, plus 1, of course. And this is just fine with me.

ReplyDeleteHope your New Year went well. We were also alone with each other, but that's because we do not know anyone locally.
